A car smashed into a pole Tuesday morning in Chicago’s Lincoln Park neighborhood and killed a woman, police said.

The crash began about 11:40 a.m. in the 600 block of West Washington Street when a Chevrolet Tahoe ran a stop sign, according to the Chicago Police Department.
